Mike and I went to college together, rented a place together in Ocean City MD the summer after graduation. We stayed in touch after the summer but a few years after that summer I got a call, he had taken a job as a Montgomery County Policeman and since I lived in that area he asked if he could crash on my couch for a few weeks and of course I said sure. Two years later he was still on my couch. He was always kind and polite and funny as hell. He was perhaps the perfect Police Officer. He would treat people with complete respect as long as they treated other people with respect. If they started trouble or tried to hurt people the 180 pound gorilla in Mike would appear. He was my very good friend and I miss him a lot as I know his family and other friends do. It's not hard to believe that its been a year because I miss hearing from you. God bless you Miguelito and see you on the other side.

Mikey was such a great man. He was great to my mom, his fiancé, Helen Pagano, and loved her deeply. He was great to our kids, even thought they weren´t his through blood, treated them as his own. He was such a caring and loving grandfather to all of his grandchildren. He was a great father to his kids. He was a great friend to all that knew him. He impacted so many lives in such a positive way. I think he would be smiling down on us knowing how everyone pulled together to celebrate his life. He will be missed deeply by so many. Thank you Mikey for everything you have done for our family. We will miss you and never forget you.

I was one of the lucky ones to meet Mike at the gym. We talked a lot between reps. I was always in awe of his workout routines... esp his pullups and working with the ab wheel. He shared many beautiful stories. The love he had for his family was amazing.... his children, his girlfriend, but most especially his grandchildren. He had many wonderful stories to share. We talked about his vacations, biking, and some of his police stories. I'm a nurse, so we even talked some medical stuff, too! I have to admit... Sometimes we did talk a little more than working out. I sure do miss seeing him and his smiling face around the gym. I've been praying for his family. Til we meet again, Mike!!

Michael was a great friend and a great man. We were room mates in College. We had a lot of fun and more than a few adventures together. Over the years he has been the kind of friend who I knew was always there. And, above all, he loved and was devoted to his family. I will miss my friend and I am am so sorry for your loss.

My husband and I are unbelievably saddened by the loss of Michael. He was a good human being, to the core. We knew him through my sister. Michael, Bobby, Christy - we knew of you through your dad. I know that your father loved you very much . We´ve met few people who have been in service to the others like him. Kind, compassionate, caring, wanting to be engaged with people, supporting, and enjoying time together. And helping around the house. We are sad we will not get to see him again. There are no words for how Michael will be missed here.

I just found out the very sad news of Mike Passing from someone at Onelife Gym. Mike was a workout warrior and was always there around the same time as myself so we chatted quite often in the morning. He had an amazing routine and incredible stamina especially on the stair master. I am incredibly saddened hearing this and my condolences to the family.

My deepest condolences to the Ryan's family. Met Mr Ryan working at his laytonsiville home. What a wonderful man. From first day we hit if off. He had most amazing stories. From the time being in the force, spoke of the little people his grand children. We would get together every now and then for morning coffee at 711 or country store off 124 to catch up on his stories and always with a bright smile. Sir I personally will miss you. God called you. He needs to hear some great stories. Thank you for your service. RIP Sir.

My condolences to Mike´s family and all his friends.
I got to know Mike when he joined our cycling group about 10 years ago. I considered him a friend. Mike was very friendly. He could talk your ear off on many subjects. He was highly intelligent, though he pretended not to be, but once he got onto a subject, you noticed the thought behind his words. Mike was also one of the best cyclists in our group. While I could get ahead of him on the downhills, I will always have fond memories of Mike spinning past me, almost effortlessly, while climbing, especially up the Hipsley Mill hills. Mike was an important member of our group. He was a friend to many of us. He will be sorely missed.

Just heard the shocking news today about Mike.
I met Mike about a year ago at the gym we both belong to. I enjoyed chatting with him about his avid cycling.
He got a twinkle in his eye telling me when it was the day to pick up his grandson from school.
My MOST HEARTFELT condolences to his family and long time friends, cycling buddies and all at this most difficult time!

I am profoundly saddened to learn of Mike's passing - I got to know Mike thru cycling (he was an exceptional rider) and as a retired police officer, was gratified when, on more than one occassion, he politely but firmly told aggressive drivers the rules. I always felt safer when Mike was on the ride.

To Mike´s family and loved ones I want to say you have my deepest sympathy for your loss. As one of Mike´s riding buddies, I had the pleasure of his company carpooling to rides and pedaling along the roads. He was quick on the bike and equally quick with a good story to share. Always a good companion and friend. Mike definitely will be missed. Again, I am sincerely sorry for your loss.
