Otajmah Bowie Obituary

Infant Otajmah Akira Bowie, 6 months, of 286 Phebus Ave., Frederick, died Monday, March 27, at his home.

Born Aug. 29, 1999, in Frederick, he was a son of Curtis Bowie Sr. and Dawn Virginia Dorsey.

Surviving in addition to his parents are three sisters, Ashley Curtia Bowie and Quenesha Lafaye Bowie, both of Frederick, and Paula Estelle Marie Bowie, at home; one brother, Curtis Bowie Jr., at home; paternal grandparents, Michael L. and Joanne Bowie of New Windsor; maternal grandmother, Estelle Dorsey of Frederick; maternal stepgrandmother, Tina Bolden of Frederick; great-grandmother, Thelma Dorsey of Frederick; great-great-grandmother, Ruby Virginia Diggs of Frederick; five uncles, Michael L. Bowie, Raymond L. Bowie, Paul Dorsey, Chance Dorsey and Marcus Lee, all of Frederick; seven aunts, Diane Deloughney of Rohrersville, April Bolden of Beallsville, and Carol Richardson, Coralene Bowie, Michelle Bowie, Amber Dorsey and Stacey Bolden, all of Frederick; and numerous cousins.

Otajmah was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Dorsey.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, at the funeral home, with Otajmah's uncle, the Rev. Michael L. Bowie, officiating.

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
