Patrick Croghan Obituary
Born on September 20, 1980, he was the son of John Thomas Croghan, Jr. (Linda) of Clarksburg, Maryland, and Janice Myrlee Ely (Donald) of Thurmont, Maryland. Patrick graduated from Walkersville High School, Class of 1998.
Patrick is survived by his siblings, Brent (Jenny), Ann (Jason), John (Kristen), David, Dennis (Karissa) and Jason (Shelby). Patrick is preceded in death by brother Donald Ely, Jr. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Patrick was an avid sports fan and his favorite teams were the Raiders, Orioles and Penguins. He was very dedicated and passionate about his work in the kitchen at the White Rabbit Gastropub in Frederick, Maryland. Patrick also enjoyed spending time with family and friends when he was not working.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 6, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.

I always thought Patrick was a nice guy, I went to St. John´s with him and I was kind of bullied but he always came to my defense. I loved him for that and will never forget him. He helped regain come semblance of confidence and got people to back off from bullying me. He dug that I had Alice In Chains pictures and Pearl Jam and Soundgarden and that I wore Doc Martens boots.. he got all the bullies to back off and put me in the cool category. He hung out with the wrong people but I could tell he didn´t like doing so. I wanted so badly to be a closer friend to him. Needless to say he left an indelible mark in my heart and soul and it truly hurts that he´s gone.

Patrick was one of a kind! I especially remember his carrot top hair when he was young! Always a pleasant, and kind boy and man. He will be missed. Rest easy now nephew

Patrick, I am going to miss you so much. We worked together at the Owls club and we all became good friends even when you stopped working there, we all missed you then you would come in and see all of us because of the friendships we all made together.
To his Mom who we talked about often, he was a wonderful person and loved by all which I'm sure it was his up bringing by you and the rest of his siblings.
Love you Patrick, you will always be in my heart. Thinking of all of you at this time.
