Paulette Irvin Obituary
Born June 4, 1933, in Baltimore, MD. Paulette was the daughter of the late Paul & Nita Schmitt and the younger sister of Danny Schmitt and Connie Lehet.
Paulette graduated from Forest Park High School in 1951 where she was a cheerleader and jitterbug champion. She also cheered for the Baltimore Colts.
At a dance in 1951, Paulette met her husband Bob. Paulette and Bob were married for over 71 years.
She had a passion to help others. So, in 1970 she returned to school to earn her nursing degree. Her career took her to The Frederick Nursing Home and The Middletown Valley Family Practice. At the end of her nursing career, she then went to work with her husband at Mid-Atlantic Petroleum Distributor's Association in Frederick, MD.
Nothing gave Paulette more pleasure than being with her children and grandchildren. To her grandkids she was known as Nana. They spent as much time as they could with her. Whether taking road trips, in the pool or summers together at their beach house in Daytona Beach, FL. There were endless memories made by all when with Nana.
Paulette was the ultimate mother, grandmother and friend. She touched so many with her kind heart, compassion for others, smile and laughter. She is greatly LOVED and MISSED.
Paulette is survived by her son, Bob (Susan), and daughters Laura (Jim) and Paulette. Her eight grandchildren include: Robert V., Tommy (Erica), Mike, Katie, Marty, Mikey, Lindsay and Kristen.
In celebration of Paulette's life, a memorial service is planned for February 29, 2024, at 11:00 am, Brookhill United Methodist Church, 8946 Indian Springs Road, Frederick, MD 21702 with Reverend Dana Werts officiating.
