Peggy Beers Obituary

Peggy Mae Beers, 89, of Boonsboro, MD passed away on February 16, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center. She was born on May 19, 1926 to parents Frank and Viola Killen and born in Bellwood, PA. She was a beloved mother and wife. Grier William Beers and Peggy were married on August 10, 1947. He predeceased her on March 5, 1999. She lived her very full life as a homemaker and secretary for Bechtel. After retirement, while living in Florida, Peggy volunteered with Meals on Wheels and delivered thousands of meals to those who couldn't get out on their own. When Peggy moved back to Maryland she found her home in Frederick and became a very active member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She loved to volunteer at the church and with the hospice department at her local hospital. Peggy is survived by her daughter, Debra Frew and her husband William Frew, her 2 grandchildren, Amanda Frew and Samantha Udeagha and her husband Nkem Udeagha. She is also survived by family members, Lesa Reed and Jason Reed. Celebration of Life will be held April 23, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Frederick, MD.
