Rebecca Weigley Obituary

Rebecca Anne Weigley, affectionately known as Becky, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, in Rocky Ridge, Maryland, at the age of 67. Born on March 19, 1957, in Bradenton, Florida, Becky was a beacon of faith, love, and kindness throughout her life.

A devoted Christian, Becky dedicated her life to supporting her husband, David E. Weigley, in his ministry as a pastor, evangelist, and administrator for the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. As his personal secretary, she worked and traveled alongside him here in this country as well many countries of the world. Becky also led her own ministry as the Director for the Ministerial Spouse Department, where she offered unwavering support to the spouses of pastors and administrators across numerous church regions.

Becky was a cherished wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She and David, often referred to as Dave, were sweethearts from their first date in January of 1977, falling in love and later marrying that year- a love that lasted more than 48 years. Her children, Christy and her husband Bronson Anderson, and Jonathan and his wife Karin, along with her five grandchildren, Hailyn, David, Micah, Kayla, and Ryan, were the light of her life. She found immense joy in spending time with them, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and warmth.

Known for her sweet, kind, and thoughtful nature, Becky had a gift for making everyone feel special. Her culinary skills were renowned, and many praised her delicious meals and homemade bread. Her family and friends will forever remember her beautiful smile and gentle voice.

Becky is survived by her loving husband, Dave, of Rocky Ridge, her children Christy of Waynesboro, Virginia and Jonathan of Sacramento, California, her siblings William "Richard" Norskov Jr., and Debbie Weeks, both of Collegedale, Tennessee and David Norskov of Sebring, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Richard" and Barbara Norskov of Sebring, Florida.

A celebration of Becky's life will be held on Sunday, April 27, at 11 a.m. at the Southern-Asian Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Silver Springs, Maryland. As we gather to honor her memory, we hold on to the words from Proverbs 31:10, "A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds." Becky was truly that kind of woman, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her. We find comfort in the promise of the great Resurrection morning, when Christ will return and reunite us once more.

The family invites you to leave a message or memory on her "tribute wall" at www.hartzlerfuneralhome.com. Rebecca Weigley
