Richard Benton Obituary
He was the father of Richard J. Benton and his wife Kathi Armitage, Kenneth J. Benton, Michael M. Benton and the late Robert J. Benton. He was also the grandfather of Michael J. Benton, great-grandfather of Devin Michael Benton; brotherof Roland Benton. Doc was predeceased by his former wife, Grace Jewel Devlin.
Service will be held at Pumphrey's Colonial Funeral Home, 300 West Montgomery Avenue (Rte. 28, exit 6-A just off I-270), Rockville, MD on Wednesday, December 5 at 10 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

I was yet another rider that was awed by Doc when I was a kid in Kensington, Maryland. As he went about town he always had a moment for the youth around him.Doc will always be a very dear friend that I will miss being on Harley rides together which is probably what did him in, not being able to ride anymore. RIDE ON BROTHER !

I remember rides on his Harley when I was a kid. He took my Dad in when he needed a place to live. My band played "Doc's Place" in Libertytown. Great man. He will be missed.
