As a current teacher, I am still inspired by the energy and enthusiasm that Mr. Kove displayed in the front of the classroom. I say front of the classroom but he was equally at home in between the desks working one-to-one with students. As much as I was appreciative of his patient and thoughtful instruction, I still remember fondly the life lessons he would impart.
I was heartened to read about the very full and meaningful life he lived outside the classroom and later in life. My sincere condolences to the Kove family.

Sorry about the dual entries! I thought that my first message had been accidentally deleted so I wrote a second one. I guess better to have TWO than not to have one at all!

Bob Kove was an extraordinary man. I had the pleasure of knowing him while at Drury High School from 1967-1971 and this patient man tried to teach me Geometry..I am quite sure that he passed me because he knew I was trying! " Mr Kove" had the patience of a SAINT! Coincidentally, while at Haskins School in the late 50's & early 60's I had his future wife Paula as my 4th grade teacher. Miss Murray married Mr Kove at St Francis Church and I attended their wedding with my 4th grade class. What a beautiful couple they were!! Years later whenever I would visit the Williams College Museum of Art I would look for Bob so we could have a visit and discuss everything from art to politics. He was a rare individual who always had time for his former students. To his wife Paula and his family I would like to extend my most sincere sympathy and I hope that your memories of him will bring you comfort.

Bob Kove was an extraordinary man, in every way. I actually met his wife Paula first, she was my 4th grade teacher at Haskins. Our class went to her wedding to Bob at St Francis Church. What a wonderful couple! At Drury High School in 1970, Bob had the misfortune of trying to teach me Geometry. He had the patience of a SAINT! I think he gave me a pass just because of my effort. In later years whenever I visited The Williams College Museum of Art, I looked forever to visiting with him. Bob was someone that was impossible to forget, a rare human being who will surely be missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him. To Paula & his entire family, I extend my most sincere sympathy and hope that you will find comfort in your favorite memories of him.

In this world of ours, this dedicated man was a prince among men. I graduated Drury High School and had the privilege to be under the tutelage of this dedicated and wonderful educator.
I honestly would have had no chance to grasp the concepts of Trigonometry and Calculus were it not for his patience and focused attention to ensure his wisdom was passed along. This is a truly great gift which can never be repaid, but to respectfully and fondly remember this great man.
Sail on Mr Kove, smoothly through the universe. God speed!
