Christopher Wood Obituary
Chris was a graduate of Sherwood High School in Sandy Springs, Maryland, and spent much of his career working in commercial painting.
Chris had a deep love for the coast and the fishing community. He was a proud member of the Six Fathoms Surf Fishing Team in Kill Devil Hills, where he shared many memorable days along the shoreline with friends who became like family.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Virginia Wood.
He is survived by his wife, June Grant; his son, Christopher Ray "Chris" Wood of Guthrie, Oklahoma; his sister, Patty Wood Ligare (Charles) of Grant, Florida; and his brother-in-law, Steve Grant.
Chris also leaves behind several cherished friends throughout the community who will remember his companionship and shared love of fishing and coastal life.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember Chris.
