Robert Lydard Obituary
Born September 10, 1942 in Barnesville, he was the son of the late George and Nellie Lydard.
Mr. Lydard was employed by Hann & Hann of Rockville for 15 years as a master braftsman at his profession in carpentry.
He was a devoted, loving husband and father. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch listening to old country music and cooking on the grill.
In addition to his devoted and loving wife Carole, he is survived by his children, Donna Lydard of Falling Waters, W.Va., Dianna Lydard of Martisnsbug, W.Va. and Robert B. Lydard Jr. of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a grandson, Charles Bryon Hough and wife Katie of Falling Waters, W.Va.; two great grandsons, Charles David Hough and Aidan Bryon Hough; one brother, Jack Lydard and wife Kitty of Middletown; and a sister, Nellie Fauver and husband Bill of Frederick. He will also be remembered by Chelesea Jones of Frederick, whom who loved like a daughter and his special companion Dookie.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, James and Arnold Lydard.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20 at the funeral home with Pastor Purks officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Gravelly, Jason Summers, James Robertson, Steven Hurst, Curtis Banard Sr. and Curtis Banard Jr. Honorary pallbearers Bill Gamber, Jeff Geisler, Eric Richardson and James Robinson.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
