Ronald Clay Obituary

Mr. Ronald Dale "Ronnie" Clay, 28, of Mount Airy, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, at his home.

He was the husband of Jennifer Corn Clay. They were married for six years.

Born Sept. 4, 1970, in Frederick, he was the son of A. Ronald and Darlene Hood Clay of Mount Airy.

He was a carpenter for the Dertzbaugh Construction Co., Mount Airy.

He graduated from South Carroll High School in 1988.

Mr. Clay was an avid duck pin bowler, playing on the men's Tuesday night league at Mount Airy Lanes.

He also enjoyed his work, hunting and the outdoors.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, H. Donald and Eleanor M. Hood of Mount Airy; and paternal grandparents, Albert and Geneva Clay of New Market.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Dennis E. Yocum, of Calvary United Methodist Church, Mount Airy, will officiate.

Interment will be in Marvin Chapel Cemetery, Mount Airy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frederick Memorial Hospital, Regional Cancer Therapy Center, 501 W. Seventh St., Frederick, Md. 21701
