Shirley Maxine Turley Yoe, age 87, of New Oxford, PA, died Thursday, December 19, 2024 at UPMC Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA. She was born January 20, 1937, in Smyth County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Mabel Gates Turley and Lewis Turley.

She was the wife of the late Harry "Sonny" Yoe, Jr. Shirley's love for God was an example she showed us all.

She was a waitress for over 50 years and worked at Watsons, The Donut Shoppe and Golden Corral. She loved seeing her customers and helping people at church. She liked to bake her famous coffee cake to give out to family and friends. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing the penny slot machines. She loved watching the gameshow network and working in her puzzle books. She was also an avid donator to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Her most memorable life moments were having Christmas Eve gatherings with her husband and family. Her family meant the world to her.

She was the mother of Debra Cross (Eric), Marie Stull (Rick), Carolyn Bledsoe, Randy Ellis (Bonnie) and Connie Hasty. She was the grandmother of Kristen Hernandez, Angie Pieper (Russell), Brandon White (Alyssa), Julie Bridges (Bill), Cassie Snider (Ray), Corey Baer (Lisa), Heather Mees (Phil), Shaun Baumgardner (Kim), Samantha Ellis (Tim), Jacob Ellis, Matthew Hasty (Lauren) and Sarah Hasty. She was the great grandmother of Drew Thomas, Emma Hernandez, Jett Pieper Jameson Pieper, Jaxon Pieper, Preston White, Melania White, Victoria White, Jude White, Brianna White, Kaleigh Droneburg (Cory), Jaren Morgan, Maia Bridges, Talena Richards, Allie Baer, Adalyn Baer, Cora Mees, Blakely Baumgardner, Chip Ferrand, Oliver Ferrand and Kaden Ferrand. She was the great great grandmother of Cory Lee Droneburg, Jr., Crue Droneburg, Matthew Hasty, Jr. and Preston Hasty. She is also survived by her brothers Jimmy, Jerry, Billy, Abney, and Howard Turley and sisters Kathleen Copenhaver and Kathy Pennington.

She was predeceased by her parents Mabel and Lewis Turley, her sisters Oneida Poston and Eva Rae Tilson, her husband Sonny Yoe, her daughters Debra Cross and Connie Hasty and her grandchildren Kristen Hernandez and Matthew Hasty.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 28th at the Stauffer Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with the interment immediately following the service at Edge Hill Cemetery, 604 Hunter Street, Charlestown, WV 25414.
