Steven Royer Obituary

Mr. Steven James "Steve" Royer, 27, of 16373 Buck Lantz Road, Sabillasville, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, as the result of an accident while hunting.

He was the husband of Christina Levenduski Royer, whom he married July 25, 1998.

Born Nov. 19, 1974, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was a son of James Lee and Peggy Favorite Royer.

He graduated from Catoctin High School in 1993. He was formerly employed at Mobil Tool in Frederick, and presently was employed with CSR Hydro Conduit. He also was a part-time farmer with his father on the family farm in Sabillasville.

He was an avid hunter, and was a member of the North American Hunting Club.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his sister, Becky Smith and husband Nick of Sabillasville; paternal grandmother, Bernadette Royer of Sabillasville; maternal grandmother, Martha Favorite of Thurmont; an aunt, Carol Royer of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.; his wife's grandparents, Viola Levenduski and Peggy and George Kline all of Wolfsville; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Gary Levenduski Sr. of Wolfsville; a brother-in-law, Gary Levenduski Jr. of Wolfsville; a sister-in-law, Michelle Lantz of Cascade; and a niece, Tiffany Lantz of Cascade.

He will also be remembered by his hunting friend, Kenny Wolfe of Emmitsburg.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 30, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert E. Dailey and Son Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., Thurmont.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Weller United Methodist Church, 101 N. Altamont Ave., Thurmont. The Rev. Ruth Ann Miller will officiate. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m.

Interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to a trust for Steve and Christina's child expected in April 2002, c/o Weller United Methodist Church, 101 N. Altamont Ave., Thurmont, Md. 21788.
