Suzanne Carney

1941 - 2025

Suzanne E. Fisher Jack Carney (84) of Crestwood Village, Frederick, Maryland passed from this life on June 24, 2025. She was the wife of the late Eugene D. Carney. She was the daughter of Kermit I. Fisher and Laura Kaunike Fisher of Wheeling, W.V., a graduate of Triadelphia High School and the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing.

Her life was devoted to helping others starting as a teenager by babysitting and continued her nursing career from prenatal nursery through various types of nursing to Critical Care and ending in Home Health Care.

She is survived by her four children by her first husband Ernest W. Jack: Adam James Jack and wife Pamela Jack of Beaumont, Texas; Brian August Jack of Jefferson, Maryland; Suzanne Frances Baird and her husband Greg Baird of Frederick, Maryland; and Roger Ryan Jack and his wife Roxanna Jack of Mount Airy, Maryland. Surviving are two brothers, Robert and his wife Monika Fisher of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Ronald Fisher of Columbus, Ohio. A third brother, Louis and his wife Diane Fisher, both having predeceased her; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her long-time dear friend Liz Habina of Frederick, Maryland.

As an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Feagaville, Maryland, she served in many ways from teaching to singing in the choir, actively participating in church services and briefly on the church council. She was also very active in her community, serving on the Board of Trustees, several committees, reception desk, and driving the village bus for a time. Her hobbies included playing the piano, sewing, counted cross stitching and working jig saw puzzles.

A church service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 5463 Jefferson Pike, Feagaville, Maryland on Friday, July 11th, 2025, at 10:00 AM EDT.
