Vickie Blizzard Obituary

Vickie Sue Blizzard, 65, of Brunswick, Maryland passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, April 27, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Born on July 15, 1958, to the late Joseph A. Bowers and Alice L. (Tyeryar) Bowers. Vickie was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland, attending Frederick County public schools and Frederick High School.

Vickie was a dedicated mother to Alicia Carey and Angela Romesburg. She especially loved her role as Nanny to her grandchildren Dominic Naylor, Brandon Naylor and Blake Carey. She enjoyed family gatherings and cooking meals on Holidays. She is the cherished fiance of Terry Eyler who she enjoyed taking many trips with to Ocean City and shopping for Christmas gifts.

Vickie had a vivacious and straightforward personality with a sailor's colorful vocabulary, you always knew how she felt. She will always be remembered for her perfectly coifed hair and fuchsia lip stick.

Vickie was a member of the Brunswick Eagles 1136, where she worked a bartender and bar manager. She was also a member of the American Legion, the Moose Club and worked at Super Fresh.

The family would like to send a special Thank you to the Brunswick Eagles club volunteers, Aerie and Auxiliary board members. To the Carey, Armstrong and Schuyleman families. And to ALL that attended, sponsored and donated to the Benefit Bingo for Vickie Blizzard.

She is survived by her daughters, grandsons and fiance. Surviving sisters Ruth "Susie" Maxey (Paul), Judith Jones (Larry), Nancy Kennan (Ellsworth "Buddy") and surviving bother John Bowers (Barbara), as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, 4 bothers (Joseph Jr, Robert, James and William Bowers) and 2 sisters (Pamela Blank and infant Doris Jean Bowers).

Please join us to celebrate her life on Saturday June 1, 2024, between 12 Noon - 3:00 p.m. at the Brunswick Eagles Club, 401 Central Avenue, Brunswick, MD. Vickie Blizzard

Rest Peacefully Vickie, I will always remember all the great work memories that we shared at Fairchild many years ago...and I thank you for all of them!
Although we lost contact with each other, I thought of you often with a smile!
