Wanda L. Glass

1948 - 2023

Wanda Lucille Glass, age 74, of Emmitsburg, MD. Died Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at her daughter's home, surrounded by her family. Born October 3, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Filler) Rodgers. She was the wife of the late Gary "Tex" Glass for 51 years, who passed in May 2021.

Wanda was a Librarian at Mt. St. Mary's University for over 25 years. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Emmitsburg all her life. She enjoyed cooking, painting, and shopping. She loved going to Texas Roadhouse with her beloved husband Gary. Wanda adored spending time with her family.

Survived by her children, Monica Workman and husband Randy of Emmitsburg, MD, Gary Glass and fiancee Jennifer Cool of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, and Melissa Bowers and fiance Tony Hugueley of Frederick, MD; sister Jody Eyler of Thurmont, MD; niece Niki Eyler and great-niece Addison Eyler both of Thurmont, MD; grandchildren, Josh Workman and wife Rachel, Shelby Workman and Avery Bowers; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Riley, Mylo and Marleigh; she will also be remembered by her sisters and brothers in law and many other nieces, nephews, cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main Street, Emmitsburg, MD 21727. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 47 Depaul Street, Emmitsburg, MD 21727 at 11am. A burial will follow at Tom's Creek Community Cemetery, 10918 Taneytown Pike, Emmitsburg, MD 21787.
