Amme Snipes Obituary
Amme Lynne Mahler, a cherished soul known for her kind, loving, caring, and hilarious personality, left us on Sunday, December 8, 2024.
Amme was born on January 31, 1974, in Clayton, GA, and moved to Fredericksburg, VA, early in her childhood. Some of her fondest memories were of spending time with her extended Southworth family on the "hill top" in Ford City, PA.
She was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room. She embodied the best of us: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her husband, her entire family, and countless others.
As we grapple with the loss of her physical presence, we find solace in knowing that her spirit lives on through the love she instilled in us. Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply in her wide network of friends. Although Amme is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her husband, James "Jay" Snipes; parents Bill Mahler and Alice Southworth; sister Carolyn Mahler; nephew Christian Stacy; godchildren Ashton and Reece Lloyd; and her devoted friend Amanda Lloyd.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends two hours prior at the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Sarcoma Foundation of America in Amme's name.

I am so sorry Mr Snipes to hear of Amme's passing. She was a lovely person. The two of you together made such a wonderful unit, full of life and always ready for an adventure. I was privileged to know her and call you both friends.
