Anna M. Andress

Anna M. Andress, 89, of Ruther Glen died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Bowling Green Healthcare Center.

Born in Alexandria, she was the daughter of the late Kemper J. Johnson and Rena C. Johnson. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Andress; and a daughter, Judith V. Hoover.

She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Goss and her husband, John; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Andress of Alexandria, Dorothy Rowan of Arlington and Margaret Andress of Solomons, Md.; six grandchildren, Robert Goss, Christopher Goss and his wife, Rebecca, Dawn Cobb and her husband, Michael, Charles Hoover, Michael Hoover and his wife, Mary, and Catherine Clements and her husband, Ronnie; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Burial will follow at 1:15 p.m. in Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 5, at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2217 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.
