C. Wilson Sacra

A funeral for Carroll Wilson Sacra, 75, of Partlow will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday april 18 at Waller's Baptist Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday april 17 at the church.

Sacra died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Mary Washington Hospital.

Born in Caroline County, Sacra worked for 27 years for the Virginia Department of Transportation. He retired as a VDOT superintendent. He also served two years on the Spotsylvania Planning Commission and 12 years representing the Berkeley District on the Spotsylvania School Board. Sacra also was a member of Spotsylvania's Board of Zoning Appeals, director of the Spotsylvania Historical Association and president of the Spotsylvania Rescue Squad. Sacra had been an employee of Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service since 1990.

Sacra also was a member of Waller's Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, Sunday School director, Men's Sunday School teacher and Sexton and grounds custodian. He also served as moderator for the Goshen Baptist Church Association in 1989 and 1990.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Trivett Sacra; two sons, Calvin Sacra of Pembroke, N.H., and Keith Sacra of Richmond; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
