Dorothy Carter Obituary

Dorothy "Frances" Seay Carter

Dorothy "Frances" Seay Carter, 96, of Fredericksburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She passed away peacefully at home.

Frances worked for and retired from G&H in Fredericksburg. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in her yard's pristine condition. Frances was also a very devoted member to Spotswood Baptist Church – spending many hours singing with the choir and supporting the church food ministry.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Ogle and Kevin Carter; grandchildren, Lisa Nicholson, Jason Ogle, Shelby Carter, Katherine Carter, and Madison Carter; and many great and great great-grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy.

A service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2022, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Online guest book is available at covenantfuneralservice.com.

I worked with Frances for many years. She was always kind and loving. We had many discussions about the Lord. I know she loved her church and serving the Lord. She will be missed by so many. May the Lord comfort the family and give them peace.
