Emily Swoap

Emily H. Swoap, 96 of Bowling Green passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. She was the widow of Thomas F. Swoap, Sr. and is survived by two sons, Thomas F. Swoap, Jr. (Becky) and Henry C. Swoap (Valerie); six grandchildren, Victoria Soyars (Alan), Lindsey Layne (Jonathan) and Tamasin Swoap (McCael Melton); Jason Swoap, Joseph Swoap, James Swoap (Emma); seven great grandchildren, Alex, Bradley and Owen Layne, Harper, Hannah and Hayley Swoap and Ragnar Melton.

A funeral will be held on Monday, November 20th at 11 a.m. in the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Lakewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Operation Christmas Child or the Bowling Green Vol. Rescue Squad.

I was blessed to have been a caregiver for Tom and Emily for 3 1/2 years. I loved them both dearly and they took the role as grandparents in my life/heart. They are now reunited.
