Janet Lyons Obituary
Janet L. Lyons, 85, of Spotsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at home. She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on September 29, 1937. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bruce D. Lyons.
She was a beloved mom of five children, Sue Cottoms (Roy), Kenny Lyons, Jeff Lyons, Judy Lyons, and Jennifer Taylor (Wayne). She was also a wonderful grandma to Jessica., Kaitlan, Joshua Cottoms, Eric, Shelley, Zane Lyons, Thomas Kerns; and great-grandma to Alyssa DeClouette.
Her funeral service will be held at Lake of the Woods Church on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. followed by a reception and then a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Lake of the Woods Church. Online guestbook is available at johnsoncares.com.

We were so sorry for the loss of your mom. She was a very special person. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow with His peace and comfort. We are so sorry that we are unable to attend the memorial service. We have an appointment, that took us months to get, at 11 on the same day. We know that your mom brought glory to the Lord while she was alive, and we are certain that her memorial service will do so as well.
