Jean Houck Obituary
Jean Marshall Houck passed peacefully on Sunday, April 2, 2023. She was born on February 17, 1940. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Jean was a member of Zoan Baptist Church and enjoyed antiquing, gospel performances, and her family outings. Her family was truly her life. Jean was a great example of God's love, kindness, patience, and caring for others. She instilled in those she loved to abide by God's word. She was loved and admired by family and many friends. Her smile would light up a room. Jean will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Pitts, John Houck (Debbie), Kelly Buckner (Dennis), and Lori Maxwell (Brian); four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and sisters, Judy Sullivan and Barbara Brooks.
She was preceded in death by her one true love, Norris Houck; and daughter Karen Houck.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

I loved my aunt Jean and loved visiting her house as a child. My cousins, a passel of cats and dogs, and jeans lovely way of being ok with everything was magic! She will be missed!

Jean was such a wonderful woman , so sweet and kind , caring.She was always there for u to talk to or come visit. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. I will truly miss her and she will live on in my heart. Love you aunt Jean..Rhonda Sumner.
