Joseph Marcey
Joseph Phillip Marcey, 27, of Stafford County passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Mary Washington Hospital with his family by his side.
"Joe-Joe," " Joey," "Bubba" and "Booger Butt," as he was affectionately known, could light up a room. He enjoyed sitting out on the deck with his dad listening to shag music. Joey loved to laugh and was quite the ladies' man.
Joey was sweet, kind and gentle; an all-around happy boy. He enjoyed watching his dad play softball, going for rides with him and swimming in the pool with his family.
Joey always crossed his legs and was constantly pulling his socks off. His favorite catch phrase was "Hey Baby."
Joey is survived by his "Mama and Dada," Susan and Phillip Marcey; his sisters, Jessica Jackson and her husband, Sean, and Amanda Sasser and her husband, Brandon; two nieces whom he loved dearly, Riley Jackson and Elsa Sasser; and numerous close family friends.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Joey's family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the National Down Syndrome Society, 666 Broadway, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10012 or online at ndss.org.
Online condolences may be expressed to Joey's family at foundandsons.com.
