Mable Ann Beach Brown, 83, of Fredericksburg, died on Monday, April 24, 2023, at her home.

Mable was a native of Fredericksburg and a graduate of Spotsylvania High School and Smithdeal-Massey Business College in Richmond. She retired in 2017 from Pratt Medical Group, where she had worked for 18 years. Mable had previously been employed in customer service at Southland Corp. and the McLane Company, Inc., in Stafford for a combined 17 years.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and formerly a member of Northside Baptist Church and Grace Memorial Church. She enjoyed traveling, talking with family and friends, and doting on her cherished cats.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Brown of Fredericksburg, and Steve Brown (Cynthia) of Rhoadesville, Virginia; two grandchildren, Lindsey Brown and Tyler Brown; and an aunt, Frances Beach of Charlotte, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ashton C. Beach and Eva M. Beach, and by her former husband, Dudley R. Brown.

The family will receive friends at Covenant Funeral Service, 10830 Patriot Highway, Fredericksburg, Va., Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Covenant Funeral Service Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
