Margaret Bryant Obituary

Margaret E. Bryant

Margaret E. Bryant, 90, of Stafford County, a beloved mom, grandma "Nanny", sister, aunt, and friend went peacefully to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

She was the second oldest of 10 siblings. Her hobbies included going to Charlestown and taking many trips with friends and family. She was a school bus driver for Stafford County for 20 years and also worked for Stafford County Curtis Park for many years.

Margaret loved her great-grandchildren with all her heart; her eyes would light up when they came to visit her, and they were the love of her life. She loved telling everyone about her many trips within the U.S., and taught her great-grandsons Lucas and Kellen how to make her homemade mac and cheese.

Survivors include her son, Dana Bryant (Anita) of Stafford; grandchildren Todd Bryant (Heather), of Mechanicsville, and Kristi Fines (Barrett), of King George; great-grandchildren Lucas, Kellen, Peyton, Kayleigh, Sawyer, and Josie; as well as siblings Lelia Bloxton, Francis Graninger, Jessie Haun (Gary), Olive Carrington (Frank), Spencer Wood, Harry Wood (Melba), and Linda Moore (Dick). She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Ralph C. Bryant; parents Herbert and Anna Wood; her son, Joe Bryant; her brother, Eugene Wood; sister, Betty Embrey; and numerous brother and sister-in-law's.

A service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 5 at Covenant Funeral Service Chapel, Stafford. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Stafford Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ramoth Baptist Church.

What wonderful memories of Chester and Margaret flood my mind. After Chester died, Margaret and I had some good times but, despite planning to do so, I never did get to go to Charlestown with her. We spent many days in her home toward the end reminiscing about the friends who passed on before her. I know there is a joyous reunion in heaven and anticipate the day we will all be in our spiritual bodies rejoicing once again with all our loved ones around the Throne. What a wonderful celebration for Margaret to experience the Resurrection with Christ on Easter weekend. I will miss her presence here on Earth, her guidance and understanding but feel blessed to have had her for so long.
