Oliver Hoskins Obituary

Oliver Hoskins, Jr.

Oliver W. Hoskins, Jr., 77, of Spotsylvania County, passed away on April 16, 2024 after a prolonged battle with dementia and Parkinson's disease.

Oliver is survived by his devoted wife of over 48 years, Jennifer Hoskins; two sons, Jason and Alex Hoskins; two granddaughters, Emily and Lauren Hoskins; and sister, Elizabeth Newton.

A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with the Reverend Dr. Adam Blosser presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home chapel. A brief graveside service will follow at Goshen Baptist Church, 9800 Gordon Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22553.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks those interested to make a donation to either Goshen Baptist Church (www.goshenbaptistchurch.net/give) or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (www.alzfdn.org).

Mr Hoskins was my teacher at John J Wright back in the 70s. He was a great teacher and always had jokes, made learning lots of fun.
