Retha teacher Obituary

Retha V. Jones, 68, of Mineral died Thursday, April 25, 2002, at her home.

Mrs. Jones had retired as a school teacher from the Stafford County public school system after more than 25 years. She was a member of the Virginia Education Association.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Jones; two daughters, Donna Cherry of Spotsylvania County and Jeanie Stallard of Stafford County; a son, Kenneth Jones of Leesburg; two sisters, Elva Wright of Spotsylvania and Thelma Hinkle of Caroline County; three brothers, Ellis Adair of Fredericksburg, Edward Adair of Flager Beach, Fla., and Ezra Adair of Rocky Gap; and five grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Open Door Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bob Hall officiating. Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Found & Sons Funeral Chapels, Fredericksburg.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, c/o Trudy Clifton, 113 Tallpines Ave., Locust Grove, Va. 22508.
