Richard Hueftle Obituary

Richard F. Hueftle

Richard F. Hueftle, 80, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at his home.

Originally from New Jersey, Richard moved to Virginia in 1982 and met the love of his life, Diana. He was a computer scientist and retired in 2001 after 25 years with Computer Science Corp.

Survivors include his two stepdaughters, Katherine Rogers and Jennifer Elias; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Diana.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A graveside service and entombment will follow at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum at Oak Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Richmond (110286 Staples Mill Rd., Box 814, Glen Allen, VA 23060) or the Fredericksburg SPCA, Friends of Ferals Program (10819 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg, VA 22408).
