Thomas Fuller Obituary

Thomas Lowe Fuller, II

December 2, 1951 - August 26, 2025

Surrounded by his loving family, Thomas Lowe Fuller II of Great Falls, Va. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Reston Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Place Fuller and his two sons Thomas Robert Fuller, William Lowe Fuller and his sister Terry (Donnie) Thodos of Fredericksburg, Va., brother-in-law Rob (Aprill) Place of Nokesville, Va. and nephew Winston (Alexandra) Place of Leesburg,Va. and niece Emma Place of Nokesville, Va. along with a great niece and nephew.

Tom was strong in his faith. He was born in Derby, Conn. on December 2, 1951 and lived in Ansonia for a time before moving to Fredericksburg, Va. where he would remain until meeting his wife Janet. When Tom was younger he was very active playing Football and being part of Track and Field for Spotsylvania High School. When Tom was older and had his two sons he became a fixture as a leader in their Boy Scout Troop. He took on the role of Quartermaster and was happy to offer his knowledge and guidance to anyone who needed it. At this time he was also opening and running his own construction business, Rebel Construction. Anyone who knew or met Tom Fuller would've told you that he was a teddy bear of a person. He would be the first to offer a smile or the shirt off of his back. One of his favorite pastimes was just sitting on the porch watching a storm roll through and just enjoying what beautiful things happen all around us everyday. He was eclectic in his musical tastes and could be found with a tear in his eye as he listened to gospel or actively singing to John Denver. He was a funny, creative and extremely intelligent man that will be missed dearly everyday. The family would like to thank all the members of the staff at Reston Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and Reston ICU for the care and kindness they provided to Tom and the family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon, September 4, 2025 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Herndon, Virginia. Reception to follow in the church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be sent to Children's National Hospital, Paws for Seniors, or ASPCA.
