Victoria Matiani-Markov
Our beloved mother, Victoria Matiani-Markov, met our Heavenly Father on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, after losing her battle with cancer at the age of 73.
Throughout her life, she was a successful business woman, owning four beauty salons and co-owning three restaurants, the latest one being Angelos' Colonial Pizza in Urbanna.
She was a compassionate woman who is survived by her husband of 51 years of marriage, Angelos Markov; their first daughter, Alexandra, husband James Rush and children Angelos and Anthony Vaziouracis; Anthony's fiancee, Brianne Meyerson, and great-grandchild Colten Vaziouracis; second daughter, Liberty, husband David Bushey and children Emilia Randler and Alexander Bushey; and her third daughter, Angelina, husband Eric Deagle and children Victoria and Zacharias Deagle.
The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home in Saluda.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Newport News.
She will be laid to rest in Greece at a later date.
