Jack David "Jackson" Leddy

1941 - 2025

Jack David (Jackson) Leddy, II, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the age of 83 years.

Jackson was born to Jack D. and Willouise Krell Leddy on December 30, 1941. He married Judy Gordon on March 1, 1971 at Bay Vue Methodist Church, Crystal Beach, Texas. Jackson is survived by his wife, Judy Leddy, of Fredericksburg; brother, Michael Leddy, and wife, Priscilla; of Cypress. Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Willouise Leddy, and brother, Gustav Leddy.

Jackson was a veteran of the Vietnam War and VFW member. He owned and operated his own shrimp boat as a Commercial Fisherman on the Gulf Coast in Port Bolivar for 26 years, prior to moving to Fredericksburg in 1991. He worked in Precinct 1 in Gillespie County and at Mooney Aircraft for 10 years before retiring.

Jackson was an avid fisherman and a member of the Fredericksburg Fly Fishers and Texas Hill Country Fly Fishers. He and Judy traveled every year to Rockport to fish, visit friends and be near the water he dearly loved. He was a member of the Doss Community Club. He and Judy were Meals on Wheels Volunteers. He enjoyed hunting and helping on the family's Eckert Ranch in Doss from childhood.

Judy is thankful to Dr. Matthew Hoermann, and his nurse, Becky, for their unwavering support, especially during the past two years. Judy is also thankful to Votive Hospice who moved mountains to get Jackson home.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be on Friday, July 11 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Tatsch House in Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park.
