Kenneth Charles "Ken" Burow

1967 - 2024

Kenneth Charles Burow of Comfort and Mason, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his home in Comfort, at the age of 57 years.

Kenneth was born August 24, 1967 in San Antonio, Texas to Eugene Charles "EC" and Adeline Lass Burow.

Ken is survived by many loving friends and coworkers.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents and other loved ones.

Ken graduated from Comfort High School in 1985. He earned a bachelor's degree from UTSA in Finance and attended Banking School at Texas Tech University.

Ken's banking career started with working with his father at Comfort State Bank. Later, he worked at Security State Bank & Trust, Pioneer National Bank and presently served on the Board of Directors of Commercial Bank, Mason, Texas. Ken also worked for a time at Gillespie Livestock.

Ken enjoyed dancing at many different dance halls, hunting in Colorado, ranching in Wyoming, Comfort and Mason.

Ken often attended the NFR in Las Vegas, Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, and the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo. He enjoyed the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Ken was a very caring son, friend and neighbor. He will truly be missed, especially on Martin Street in Mason, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home, Comfort, Texas with Greg Bennett and Jean Reardon officiating.

Graveside services and interment of Ken's cremains will follow in the Comfort Cemetery.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, January 18, from 12-1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home, prior to the Service.

Honorary pallbearers: Sean Reardon, Aaron Reardon, Connar Reardon, Kevin Vadnais, Jonathan Vadnais and Kevin Shoemaker.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ken's memory to the charity of your choice.
