Patricia White Obituary
Patricia Ann White, lovingly known as Pat, went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2025, at her home in Fredericksburg, Texas. She was 85 years old.
Pat was born on August 27, 1940, in Donna, Texas, to Ralph and Esther Stevens. She grew up in Progresso, Texas, alongside her siblings Ralph Stevens Jr., Edith Drawe, and Richard Michael Stevens.
While attending Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas, Pat met the love of her life, Dewey "Buzz" White. The two married in 1959 and built a beautiful life together centered around faith, family, and service.
Pat worked various administrative jobs over the years but found her greatest joy and purpose in raising their three children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived out her faith daily through acts of kindness and service.
A faithful member of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, Pat served in countless ways over the years. She was active in the United Methodist Women and volunteered with Meals on Wheels, as well as visiting nursing homes and helping church members who needed rides to services. Her servant's heart extended beyond the church walls - she worked with the Red Cross and was certified for disaster relief, and she served on the board of the Golden Hub in Fredericksburg.
Pat's life was also rich with friendship and laughter. She cherished her lifelong circle of girlfriends - many dating back to her high school days - and enjoyed countless games of mah jongg, bunko, and bridge with them.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dewey "Buzz" White; her parents, Ralph and Esther Stevens; and her siblings, Ralph Stevens Jr., Edith Drawe, and Richard Michael Stevens.
Pat is survived by her children, Michelle White; Matthew White and his fiancée, Lauri Tomlinson; and Carolyn Munroe and her husband, Kevin Munroe.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua White and his wife, Megan; Isaias White; Aryn Rasmussen-Sanchez; Kelaiah Rivas and her husband, Omar; and Cody Segner and his wife, Kelsey.
Pat was blessed with four great-grandchildren: Ava Sanchez, Caleb Rasmussen, Ryker Rivas, and Everest Segner.
Pat will be remembered for her deep faith, her servant's heart, her joyful laugh, and the unwavering love she showed her family and friends.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Methodist Hill Country Hospice for the compassionate care they provided during Pat's final days.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
