Paul Fovel Obituary

September 30, 1940 - August 20, 2024 Paul Arthur Fovel, age 83, died on Aug. 20, 2024 in Fredericksburg, Texas. Paul is survived by his wife, Marilyn Fovel, nee Renfrew, of 62 years; his three sons, Patrick Fovel of Livermore, California; Craig Fovel of Fredericksburg, Texas, and Matthew Fovel of Sparks, Nevada. His Brother, Neil Fovel of Utica, New York. He had 6 grandchildren. CJ Fovel of Austin, Texas, Jordan Fovel of Pittsburg, California, Sabrina and Wyatt Fovel of Sparks, Nevada, Ethan Fovel of Blue Ash, Ohio, and Aidan Fovel of Santa Cruz, California. Paul was born on Sept. 30, 1940 in Utica, NY, to Arthur Fovel and Margaret Dunn. He graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1958. He joined the Navy following graduation and served for two years. In 1962, he married his high school sweetheart. He moved to Buffalo, NY in 1969 with his family. He worked for UPS for 33 years, starting in New York, finishing in California with a brief stay in Texas in between. He retired to Daniel, Wyoming before moving to Fredericksburg, Texas. Paul was a great family man, a loving father and grandfather. He was a social, active man who was deeply involved in the Catholic Church for the majority of his life. He was a prominent figure with the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed being outside. He loved working in his vineyard. A Mass of Resurrection will be Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with a reception following at the Holy Family Center. All are welcomed to attend and celebrate his life. A private burial for family will follow the reception. The family would like to thank friends and families for their prayers and support during this difficult time. Donations can be made in Paul's name to St. Jude's or a charity of your choice.

We loved to see Paul´s smile and bright eyes. Enjoyed going dancing with Marilyn and Paul. Good dancers.
