Andrew Aljian Obituary
ANDREW Born in Detroit, Michigan, 1935, died October, 13, 2016 in La Jolla, California. Only son of Arshag and Anna Aljian. Andy attended Western High School and completed his education at Michigan State University where he participated in the Football program under Duffy Daugherty. He also became a member of Michigan Gamma Chapter of the S.A.E. Fraternity. After graduation, Andy became an agent with the New England Life Insurance Company, Chuck Davey agency; earning multiple Man of the Year Awards and becoming a lifetime member of The Million-Dollar Roundtable. In 1977 he was one of the founding members of A.B.O.W. company which was subsequently acquired by Arthur Gallagher, an international insurance brokerage. Andy also coached Little League Baseball and was active in the Birmingham Hockey Association. Survived by his wife, Mary, and sons, Andrew E. Aljian and Matthew M. Aljian. A memorial will be given in the summer of 2017 in Detroit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to M.S.U. M.S.U.F.A., 535 Chestnut Rd. W. 200, East Lansing, MI 48824, SAE Foundation Michigan Gamma Capital Corp., 1856 Sheridan Rd., Evanston, IL 60201.

Top notch, first class and so very kind.
I enjoyed Andy and our conversations at
ABOW and then when he retired he would
call my new place of work Giarmarco, Mullins and Horton. He continued and have a working
relationsioip with Julius Giarmarco, so I was lucky to take his calls and on occassion he would pop in
to meet with my new boss Julius.
He truly was a gentlemen and intelligent beyond
belief. I will miss Andy and our conversations.
My condolences to Mary and his sons.! Happy Trails , my friend
