- - passed away January 8, 2019 at the age of 84. Proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy. Beloved husband of the late Barbara for 57 years. Loving father of Antoinette and Susan. Cherished brother of Richard (Barbara). Devoted brother in law of Patricia Eckert (the late Joseph), Martin Wachoski (Marlene), the late Casimer Wachoski and the late Dolores Ray. Family will receive friends Monday 2-8p.m. with scripture service at 7p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home (Price Chapel), 3725 Rochester Road (between Big Beaver and Wattles) 248-689-0700. Funeral Mass Tuesday 11a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4580 N Adams Rd, Troy. Visitation at church begins at 10:30a.m. Memorial tributes to Stiggy's Dogs, 5520 E M36, Pinckney, MI 48169

Dad, today is Mom´s 6th anniversary. It´s so hard to believe that Mom left us so suddenly, six years ago. I remember, the three of us, Sue, you, and me, in so much shock we didn´t know what to do. Until it really hit us, that Mom was gone. I remember how strong and stoic you were in the coming days, but, I know how much you must´ve been grieving on the inside. How much your heart had shattered. Dad, I miss your inner strength so much, everyday. I miss you getting up just in time to see that Sue got a goodbye kiss before she left for work. I miss us, eating breakfast together, working on crossword puzzles together, and you getting mad at me for the way I was driving. I miss hearing your soft snore, in your chair, after a morning of doing important computer work, and your robust laugh and smiling face when something amused you. That big guffaw, you couldn´t help but laugh along with you. Well, today, both you and Mom are resting side by side, as you always were for 58 years. Both Sue and I miss you so much, and think of you everyday. I miss you calling us "your girls" all the time. Don´t worry, Dad. We´re doing okay, and we´ll love you forever

Dad, well, it's been two years since you left us. I remember you everyday, sometimes laughing, sometimes crying, but always with love. I miss making your apple pie and taking care of you, your smiling face and your little foibles, working on projects together, you telling me how to drive, getting mad at each other over silly things, then laughing about it. I know you are resting, with Mom always by your side, but Susan and I miss you here with us. Please continue to watch over your girls, keeping us safe from harm. You live on in my heart now, Dad, and I'll love you forever❤

It was a pleasure to have known your dad. I admire the accomplishments he achieved in his life for his family and country. His smile will always be remembered and he will be missed.
