Hamtramck - Michalski, Ronald J (age 81) March 29, 2019. Hamtramck. Loving husband of Shirley and dear father of Lori (Paul) Davis, Paul (Marge), and Michael (Jennifer). Grandfather of Amy (Caleb) Cox, Justin, Jason, Brandon, Ethan, and Evan and great Grandfather of Oliver. Visitation Sunday March 31, 2019 from 3-8 PM with services at & PM at Jurkiewicz & Wilk Funeral Home, 2396 Caniff Hamtramck MI 48212. Lying in state Monday April 1, 2019 at 9:30 AM until time of funeral mass as St. Ladislaus Catholic Church 2730 Caniff, Hamtramck MI 48212. Private Cremation and Inurnment at Christian Memorial Gardens West, Rochester MI.

Ronnie was a gentle giant who was kind and compassionate.15 years my senior, he was Uncle Ronnie to me; however as I got older, I found out he was actually my cousin.He and Shirley raised great kids. They traveled to visit my widowed mom, and Ronnie called frequently to check on her health.Their love for family was extraordinary.Ronnie will be sorely missed. Mr. Michalski was a special teacher @ St. Florian.
I became the family's babysitter thru high school until my engagement in 1970. What a kind & caring family!
My sympathies to the family, and may eternal rest & peace be with Mr. Michalski.

Ron was my high school teacher and football coach at St. Florian. I also worked for him for several years at his rental business. I have many fond memories of the time I spent with him. He was a kind, funny guy and always had a smile on his face. Ron touched many lives during his life as father, grandfather, teacher, coach and businessman. He gave up countless volunteer hours at St Florian - the dad's club, the sports programs, the Church and the famous Florian Strawberry Festival. Ron was a great guy and will be missed.
May God keep you in His care - Rest In Peace.
