Our hearts are broken. So many memories. Steve was such a strong and upbeat team mate and good friend. He was always happy to see you and we will always remember his smile and generosity. And the big dog bark coming into the marina after an evening race. This picture is some after Mac Race camaraderie in 2006. We are honored that Steve was a part of our lives and will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace dear friend.

I have so many great memories of things that I have done with Steve. It was his idea to golf Pine Knob 31 years ago, and that started the GWG golf outing. He was a friend at the Mill, a golf buddy, and am proud to have known him. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family.

Steve was a truly one of a kind, he will be missed by everyone who knows him. Steve always shared stories of taking care of his grandchildren in the mornings, he was a proud Grandpa. Our lives have been forever touched by his kind soul.

Steve will be missed greatly by the sailing community. He was so kind to all. Always smiling. This photo shows the joy of celebrating Steve's "Old Goat" achievement on the island. Love to you, Barb and the kids.

As a Contender alumnus, I remember Steve´s positive attitude and work ethic. He was always full of life and enthusiasm and it´s hard to believe he´s gone. The world of sailing will definitely miss him. Rest In Peace my friend.

With great sadness, we offer our deepest condolences. Steve was always upbeat as a key member of our racing crew. Whether it was a stray case of Red Stripe, a missing race banner, or that final grinding tack into the finish line, Steve could be counted on to give his all (as his shoulder can attest) . No more pain Steve, Rest In Peace knowing how much you will be missed.
