Thomas LeBAY Obituary
THOMAS J. age 89 of Huntington Woods, Michigan passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016. Mr. LeBay was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 8, 1927. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member and usher at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Berkley for many years. He was a member of George F. Monaghan K. of C. Council in Livonia for many years. Surviving are his siblings; Antoinette and James LeBay and four nephews. Visitation at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home 2125 Twelve Mile Road in Berkley, (two blocks west of Woodward Avenue), Thursday, November 3rd from 4-8 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 p.m. In state at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church, 2600 Harvard Road in Berkley, (corner of Harvard Road and Coolidge Highway), Friday, November 4th from 10:30 a.m. until time of mass at 11:00 a.m. Committal services will take place privately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.

I am so sorry about Tom. I've been trying to contact Nanette and stumbled on this. Tom was such a good man with a kind heart and good sense of humor. I have fond memories of being with my Dad and Tom on their boats down at the Rooster Tail on the Detroit River.

I attended the All Souls mass at OLOL Wed evening. Father spoke fondly of Mr LeBay and how he ordinarily would have been there assisting with the lighting of candles. You could tell Fr thought highly of him. It was very touching.

Dearest Family of Tom LeBay
I was so very sorry to hear about the death of Tom. I can't begin to imagine how difficult this time must be for you and your family.
I will always remember the time he spent helping me and other coworkers so unselfishly, many will attest to the great knowledge he shared with all of us. I cherish that memory, and hope that it can bring a smile to your face even in this time of sorrow. You all should feel very proud to have had such a great man in your family

Knew Tom for 18 years, he was a sweet man and did a lot for Our Lady of Lasalette. We in the 11:30 choir will miss his praise for our singing. Miss you Tom! God has a new usher in heaven.
