Charles "Chuck" Kudrna, Jr. was born on July 21, 1953, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Marge (Schenk) and Charles Kudrna, Sr. He attended Wayne High School and Northeast Nebraska Technical College. Chuck served his country in the United States Navy.
He was first married to Launa Cramer on September 14, 1973, in Fremont, Nebraska, and blessed with two children, Tammy and Brian. They divorced, and he later married Linda Braun on February 14, 1993, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Chuck grew up in Wayne but spent most of his lifetime in Norfolk, where he owned and operated Chuck's Refrigeration for over 40 years. He attended Victory Road Evangelical Free Church, was a member of the Norfolk VFW, and the American Legion.
Chuck was an avid golfer, with memberships at Norfolk Country Club, Eldorado, and Fairplay over the years. He played a lot of competitive golf in Northeast Nebraska and achieved nine Hole-In-Ones, with one of those earning him a new Corvette in the 1995 Norfolk City Tournament. He played much of his golf with "The Group" at the Country Club but also liked hunting and fishing. He loved his family and especially his grandkids and made several trips to visit and watch them compete in various sporting activities. He enjoyed watching football and golf, but even more if his grandchildren were participating.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Linda Kudrna of Norfolk; one son, Brian (Bobbi) Kudrna of Omaha; one daughter, Tammy (Ray) Fitz of Fremont; five grandchildren, Nathan Kudrna, Aubree Kudrna, Alex Lareau, Collin Fitz, and Spencer Fitz; stepchildren, Corey Braun and Greg Braun; step-grandchildren, Lauren Bailey and Owen Braun; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Dave (Tina) Kudrna of Omaha, Rob (Deanna) Kudrna of Boone, Iowa, and Scott (Marci) Kudrna of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marge Kudrna.
