David Thomas Hamilton
September 11, 1927 – December 30, 2020
David Thomas Hamilton, 93, passed away on Dec. 30, 2020, at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska.
David was born Sept. 11, 1927, in North Bend, Nebraska, to Roland and Audrey (Kendrick) Hamilton. He graduated from North Bend High School in 1944.
David married Sally A. Flora on Feb. 12, 1950, in North Bend. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Feb. 12, 2020. Dave farmed north of North Bend for nearly 50 years. In 1992, he was the recipient of a Nebraska Pioneer Farm Award, granted to individuals whose land has been in the family 100 years or more.
David was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in North Bend where he served as a Trustee and Elder. He was a 70-year member of the North Bend Masonic Lodge No.119, serving as Junior and Senior Steward, Junior and Senior Deacon, Junior and Senior Warden, Master and Tyler. From 1963-1968, Dave served on the Board of Education of the North Bend Public Schools.
David is survived by his wife, Sally of Fremont, Nebraska; two daughters, Linda (Lee Ireland) Hamilton of Upland, California, and Carol (Phil) Stallings of Omaha; two sons, Dan (Becky) Hamilton and David (Sheryl) Hamilton, both of Omaha; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Ella Wickwire Hamilton; sisters, Mirian and Catherine Hamilton; brother, Paul Hamilton; and stepsister, Rosella Pageler.
Burial will be at Purple Cane Cemetery in North Bend and a memorial service will be planned for a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the United Presbyterian Church in North Bend.

I´m so sorry to hear of Dave´s passing. My fondest memories of Dave is the Christmas soup suppers at their house.
