Eric Melvin Rix of Omaha died March 12, 2018. He was born in Fremont.
Preceded in death by parents, Arnold and Glendora (McDuffee) Rix. Survived by wife, Christine Rix; two daughters, Traci Soliz (Jesse) and Cheryl Clifford (Colin); grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel and Kristina Soliz; great-grandchild, Zachary; sisters, Karen McNeel, Sharon Johnson, and Carol Coleman; brothers, Dennis Rix (Nan), Peter Rix (Robin), Michael Rix, and Pat Rix (Pam); many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd., with Masonic service at 6:30 p.m. by Covert Lodge 11 AF & AM, followed by vigil service at 7 p.m. VISITATION is Friday, March 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 14330 Eagle Run Dr., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Family Entombment, Resurrection Mausoleum. Memorials to American Heart Association or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
