Lori Samuelson

The funeral for Lori L. Samuelson, 45, of North Bend will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Catholic Church in North Bend.

She died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, at her daughter's home in Fremont.

She was born Nov. 17, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa. She grew up in Winnebago and North Bend, and graduated from Winnebago High School. She was a graduate of Stewart's School of Hair Styling. She lived in Fremont and was an over-the-road truck driver for LaBenz Trucking in Humphrey until 1997. She moved to North Bend in 2002.

She married Kenneth Chvatal in 1978 in Malmo. They later divorced.

Survivors include: three sons, Johnathan Chvatal of Lincoln, and Jerad and Jacob Chvatal, both of North Bend; a daughter, Heather Chvatal of Fremont; her mother and stepfather, Mary Samuelson-Ring and Don Ring of North Bend; two brothers, Brad (and wife, Kim) Samuelson of Shawnee, Kan., and Jeff (and wife, Jill) Samuelson of Liberty, Mo.; two sisters, Tammy (Mrs. Craig) Wise of Boise, Idaho, and Paula (Mrs. Greg) Hines of Morse Bluff; grandmothers, Norma Samuelson of Spearfish, S.D., and Daisy Schlotman of Parkville, Mo.; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father and a grandson.

The Rev. Gerald Melchior will officiate Wednesday's service. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in North Bend.
