Lorvy F. Schmoldt, 92 years, of Fremont, Neb., passed away, Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Nye Pointe Health in Fremont.
Lorvy was born February 14, 1933, in Beemer, Neb., to Frank and Agnes (Kirch) Schmoldt. He married Lois Dostal on February 20, 1987, in Fremont. Lorvy was employed at Grain States Soya in West Point, Neb. for 44 years. He resided in Syracuse, Neb. for five years, before moving back to Fremont.
Lorvy was a member of the Fremont Presbyterian Church, the Eagles in Fremont, and the Starlighters Square Dance Club. He enjoyed playing cards and woodworking.
He is survived by his sons, Dion (Karen) Schmoldt, Owen (Carmen) Schmoldt; and stepson, Brett (Jeri) Cross; daughters, Devona Kaup, Donalyn (Tony) Williams, Clarissa Schmoldt; and stepdaughter, Kandy (Mike) Law; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Lorvy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois; daughter, Arliss and husband, Rick Wassenberg; stepdaughter, Brenda Cross; brother, Burton Schmoldt; sisters, Dorothy Dobberstein and Fern Schlake.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Fremont Presbyterian Church. The visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m., Sunday, April 13th, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
Interment will be at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
