Max Foster Obituary

Max R. Foster, 78, of Fremont died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Max was born Sept. 13, 1934, in Farragut, Iowa, to Harry and Alice (Peterson) Foster. He grew up on the farm in southwest Iowa. In the beginning of his working career, he worked as an auditor of utility companies. Then he went into the ministry. He graduated from the Ozark Bible College. He served churches in California before coming to Nebraska where he served a church in Valparaiso and then the First Congregational Church in Wahoo.

He retired from the ministry, and moved to Fremont in 1992, where he had his own advertising agency.

On May 14, 1973, Max married Linda Isenhart in Albuquerque, N.M.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda; a daughter, Janyce Foster of Omaha; four sons, Jayson Foster of Fremont, Kent Foster of Boseman, Mont., David (and wife, Janet) Foster of Los Lunas, N.M., and Mark (and wife, Loretta) Foster of Dallas; a brother, Keith (and wife, Karen) Foster of Redding, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a granddaughter.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Nazarene, Military Avenue and Johnson Road, in Fremont with the Rev. Tom Shaw officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont and will continue one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.

Memorials may be directed to the family for distribution.
