Ralph E. Metschke

Ralph E. Metschke, age 82, of Fremont, Nebraska, passed away quietly at his home Nov. 14, 2021. He was born Oct. 8, 1939, on the farm at Snyder, Nebraska, to Vernon and Angela (Tichota) Metschke.
Ralph graduated from Scribner High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army in the late 1950s.Ralph married Linda Uher on Nov. 3, 1972, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. He held several jobs before starting work at Office Net. He spent 54 years there, earning his way up to Vice President of Sales and Services. He retired in September of 2019.
He is survived by his wife Linda of Fremont; sons, Corey and wife Sunshine of Lincoln, Ron and wife Kim of Elkhorn and Gene and special friend Karen of Gloucester, Virginia; daughter, Carrie York of Lincoln, and stepson, Brian Pfeiffer and wife Michelle of Palm City, Florida; sister, Marilyn Villwok of Lakewood, Colorado; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; and brother, Marvin Metschke.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m., all at Moser's in Fremont. Visitation continues on Friday 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the family for a fund yet to be determined.
Military graveside services will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
