Robert "Bob" Lee Kerwin, 88, of Morse Bluff, Nebraska, passed away Aug. 26, 2021, at Methodist Fremont Health.
Bob was born Sept. 29, 1932, in Ames, Nebraska, to Lawrence and Clara Bell (Adams) Kerwin.
He graduated from Fremont High School. After school, Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1953 until 1955 during the Korean War. Bob married Carol Kimble in Fremont on July 6, 1956. They later divorced. Bob was a mechanic for Pollards and Vopalensky Implement in North Bend. He resided in Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska, from 1967 until 2005. He moved to Prague until 2015 before residing in Morse Bluff.
Bob is survived by his children, Diana Kerwin-Kubr (Rod) Kerwin of Wahoo, Kevin (Jaclyn) Kerwin of Columbus, Nebraska, Becky Kerwin (Jason Lillie) of Cedar Bluffs, and Cindy (Scott) Kranz of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Robert (Mindy) Kerwin, Kelsey (Jerimy) McDonald, Kaelyn (Ben) Schroeder, Cortland Kerwin (Trenton Haltrom), Jesse (Corina) Crist, Jaime Crist (Michael Towne), Alexandria Kranz, Sara (Chase) Ross; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Addison, James and Emma, Jemma and Kora, and Kiefer and Audie.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Don and Lawrence; sisters, Marilyn Finnel, Kay Bolte, Natalie Garner and Shirley Oschner; and grandson, Jeremy Crist.
A Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend. Family receiving friends will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend. Military honors will be follow the service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be at Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska, at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
