RoVera Forbis

RoVera Forbis, 90, of California, MO passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at her home. She was born on January 21, 1935 in Martinsburg, MO the daughter of Ralph Debo and Leota (Malicoat) Debo both of who preceded her in death. She was later united in marriage on March 11, 1956 to Donald Forbis who preceded her in death on August 12, 2019. RoVera worked at Taylor's Tire Distributors as a bookkeeper for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in California where she enjoyed her Sunday School class and being very involved in the church. RoVera liked cooking, taking care of her home, planting flowers, was a very hard worker and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by 2 daughters, Stephanie Yates (Douglas) of Mexico, MO and Cindy Renn (Paul) of Jefferson City, MO; son, John Forbis (Patricia) of Florence, MO; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Forbis. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 11:00 A.M.- 12 Noon with the funeral immediately following at 12 Noon all at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the Wellsville Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church of California, MO c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services of California, MO.
