Samantha Lynn Smith, 30 yrs, of Fremont, NE, passed away, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Samantha was born July 7, 1994, in Fremont, to Keith and Sheri (Reeves) Smith. She graduated from Fremont High School and continued her education at Escoffier Culinary School in Boulder, CO in 2013. She moved to Longmont, CO, a year later before moving back to Fremont in 2015. She worked at Embroidery Connection in Fremont with her family.
Samantha's contagious laughter and playful spirit brightened every room she entered. She loved board games and live music, always determined to make sure everyone was smiling- if you weren't, she would make it her mission to change that. Sam had a gift for getting along with everyone and an infectious, free spirit that inspired those around her. She did what she wanted, living life on her terms, and encouraged others to follow their own paths with the same fearless joy she embodied.
Samantha enjoyed the outdoors spending time fishing and hiking. She was an amazing cook and loved baking cupcakes.
She is survived by her parents, Keith Smith and Sheri Smith of Fremont; brothers, Kyle (Jordain) Smith and Zachary Smith both of Fremont.
Samantha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Darlene and Charlie Smith and grandmother, Kathleen Reeves; and aunt, Susan Reeves Betten.
The memorial service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Ron Wilkie will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 6th, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
The family will have a celebration of life following the service at Thompson Wellness located at 2404 N Lincoln Ave in Fremont.
